We are T.S. Anna and Adri Schokker. We have worked together for a decade – as visual artists, curators and organizers of cultural and educational events. Coming from different countries and backgrounds meeting half-way has personal and professional importance. We carry this notion further, also to our work where we combine (new) technologies and materiality in critical and playful ways. We feel an urge to find a better understanding of the natural surroundings and create more inclusive versions of human ways of being as part of complex ecosystems. Thus our work is mostly process-led and our installations and workshops evolve in collaboration with with others: experts, scientists, fellow artists or designers, and people who they meet on the way. These encounters play an important role in creating work that invites our audiences (children and adults alike) to see relations that are often hidden below the surface, and be a reminder – no one is just one.
